In 30 years, Weinzweig and his partner, Paul Saginaw, have built their company into a thriving 500-person community of businesses with annual sales exceeding $40 million. Launched in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with a $20,000 bank loan back in 1982, Zingerman’s is now a community of eight businesses, including the flagship deli, plus Zingerman’s Bakehouse, Zingerman’s Mail Order, Zingerman’s Training and the newest of the eight, Zingerman’s Candy Manufactory, formed in 2009.
